Me-Made-May Days 29, 30 and 31

Me Made May Day 29

Today is the last day of Me-Made-May. I can't quite believe that it's over and that tommorow I can get dressed without having to think about whether I'm wearing something that I've sewn. It has definitely been a challenge and I'm excited about wearing whatever I want again. Visiting the Flickr group and seeing everyone else's take on MMM has been really interesting and I found some great new blogs.

Me Made May Day 30

Zoe
(who is a genius) has already thought up the next sewing/crafting related challenge, Self-Stitched-September, so if you want in on the fun visit her post and sign up.

  1. I just wanted to tell you how much I love the dress on Day 30! All your dresses are lovely, but that one strikes me because it's a fabric I would be shy to try (so romantic!) but you pull it off beautifully. :)

  2. I agree with Ali, I love day 30's dress as well.
I myself am not a floral person,it just does not suit me, but the style is lovely, and I do have a floral fabric my sister in law gave me. She wanted it made into something for her but as yet could not decide what, seeing this I think I may have found it's purpose!
Did you use a pattern, if so mod or vintage?

  3. Congratulations on making it all the way to the end of me made may. I ditched the last 2 days because it was so freaking cold here all I wanted to wear were jeans and I have not made any tops so non-me made it had to be. You did so well this month and I really enjoyed all your outfits.

  4. Ali- Thanks. It's funny I never thought of the print as romantic, I just have a thing for florals. I always think that anyone can pull off anything as long as they feel good in it.

Brumby- Thanks. The pattern was a retro reprint from Butterick, B5032, so it's modern vintage. It was really easy and fun to make.

Kat- Thanks. You did a great job too. Wearing something you made for 29 days in a row is a pretty big achievement. I hope you're going to do Self-Stitched-September too.

Thanks so much for the compliment, and thanks so much for chosing to be part of the next challenge, it wouldn't be the same without you! I agree, I've found some great new blogs and some very thought provoking and funny writers as a part of MMM, can't wait for more!

    All the best

  7. Congrats on making it through! As always, love your belts. I'm not sure if I'll be doing Self-Stitched-September... we'll have to wait and see how I feel... Enjoy the freedom of June and wearing whatever! :)
